Growing up on a farm from early childhood means understanding the effort, dedication, and passion behind every harvest. It nurtures a deep respect for each individual product and a natural instincts for quality. These values lie at the heart of the culinary philosophy at Forsterhof. Much of what we serve comes directly from our own fields or from carefully selected local suppliers. Selected Italian delicacies complement the culinary variety, creating a cuisine that is both authentic and refined.
Farm to table – Agriculture at Forsterhof
Your host Christian and his son cultivate the estate’s fields, focusing mainly on apple production. Alongside the orchards, there’s a colourful variety of fruit thrives: apricots, plums, cherries and peaches, persimmons, figs, and mirabelles. In our garden, you will also find courgettes, aubergines and tomatoes, radishes, carrots and cucumbers, crisp salads and fragrant herbs. Christine lovingly turns these homegrown treasures into delightful specialties: juices, jams and spreads, cakes, fruit purées, chips, and much more. From field to kitchen, and from kitchen to your table.

For your hosts Magdalena and Christine, enjoyment means shaping your holiday individually — according to your own rhythm and mood:
- Leisurely breakfast: from 8:00 am to 11:00 am in the garden or in the breakfast room
- Bistro menu: from 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm
- Throughout the day: until 8:00 pm, fine drinks, homemade pastries & aperitifs at the Forsterhof Bar; afterwards, our 24-hour Trust Bar offers a selection of beverages for self-service
- Dinner in the region: Dine-around experience with selected restaurant recommendations, including reservation and ordering service at the reception

What time does breakfast start at the Forsterhof, and how long is it served?
From 8:00 to 11:00 am. Three whole hours to enjoy your morning, at your own pace.
How is breakfast served at the Forsterhof?
Breakfast is brought straight to your table. We start with a beautifully arranged tiered stand filled with regional cold cuts, organic cheeses, homemade spreads and jams, fresh fruit and bread. You can ask for more of anything you like, as often as you like. There’s also a selection of freshly prepared hot dishes to order, from eggs just the way you like them to waffles and pancakes. And of course, there are smoothies, homemade cakes, yoghurt and a variety of muesli options too.
You choose what you’re in the mood for and how much you’d like. We’ll keep bringing your favourites until you’re happily satisfied.
In summer, breakfast is best enjoyed outside on the terrace, overlooking the garden as the morning sunlight falls across the apple orchards.
We also happily cater for allergies and food intolerances, with vegetarian and vegan options available.
Where do the products for breakfast come from?
Some come straight from our family’s own farm. The apple orchards surrounding the Forsterhof are tended by our father and brother, and you’ll find fresh apples waiting for you in your room too. For everything else, we work exclusively with trusted local producers.
At the Forsterhof, Slow Food is about knowing where our food comes from and taking the time to enjoy it. Think carefully selected, high-quality ingredients from South Tyrol and Italy, a leisurely three-hour breakfast window and daily specials that change every day. No rushing, just good food and time to savour it.
Are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-free breakfast options available?
Of course! We’re happy to accommodate different dietary preferences, allergies and intolerances. Just let us know when you book, so we can make sure everything is ready for you.
Is breakfast included in the room rate?
Yes, our rates are per person, per day, and include breakfast along with all the Forsterhof extras. The local tourist tax is charged separately.
Can I come for breakfast at the Forsterhof if I’m not staying at the hotel?
Yes! We also welcome guests who aren’t staying with us.
We just ask that you book in advance so we can have your table ready.
Does the Forsterhof offer half board?
No. Our philosophy centres around a generous, high-quality breakfast.
But there’s plenty more to look forward to throughout the day. Until 6:30 pm, the Forsterhof bar serves homemade cakes, coffee and aperitivi, along with delicious Italian antipasti and traditional South Tyrolean starters.
For dinner, our Dine Around concept invites you to explore the local food scene. We’ll share our favourite restaurant recommendations and happily book a table for you, whether you’re in the mood for a cosy Alpine mountain hut or an elegant gourmet restaurant.
And when you’re ready to wind down for the evening, our 24-hour self-service bar is always there, with a selection of fine wines, digestifs and carefully chosen drinks.
